đ° My Top 12 Black Friday Deals
All the Hacks 11/23/22: Upgrade Your Life, Money & Travel
đ Hi all, Chris here! I have been bombarded so many great holiday deals this week that I decided to change the newsletter plan for the week to share my top 12. But first, I have to say thank you. I am so grateful for the 26,000 of you reading this email and engaging with this newsletter on a regular basis. I love creating it and am thrilled to find so many people as excited as I am with optimizing their life, travel and money. If you know anyone else like that (or even just who likes a deal), please feel free to forward this along.
Finally, I wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving!
đ° My Top 12 Black Friday / Cyber Monday Deals
Here are the top 12 deals Iâve seen so far. Surely more will pop up, but wanted to get something out before Thanksgiving. And if you didnât see my holiday shopping newsletter last year, I shared my favorite hacks and tactics for shopping online, so definitely check that out if youâre interested.
Also, in the coming weeks, Iâm going to try to write up a gift guide with some of my favorite gift ideas for the holiday season. Until then, I hope you enjoy these deals:
đš 20-40% off Hotel Stays
There are so many hotels offering deals right now. I already have a few tabs open to try and use these deals for a last-minute family trip to London next month. So if you have any London recommendations, please send them my way đ.
20% off Marriott through 1/16 (book by 11/29)
20% off Hyatt through 4/30 (book by 11/30)
20-50% off Hilton when you book on Black Friday (11/25) & Cyber Monday (11/28)
10% off IHG + unannounced Cyber Monday deals through (book by 12/2)
25% off Accor in North America through 6/30 (book by 11/29)
40% off YOTEL through 9/30 (book by 12/1)
35% off Ace Hotels through 9/4 (book by 12/9)
𩞠Track your health with InsideTrackerÂ
Iâve been focusing on optimizing my health the past year and Iâve been spending a lot of time in the InsideTracker app. After analyzing your blood, DNA, and fitness tracking data, they offer a personalized health analysis and action plan on how to live healthier and longer. Specifically they give recommendations on food, supplements, workouts and other lifestyle choices.
Iâve partnered with them to offer $200 off the ultimate plan or 34% off the rest of the store this week through this link. And if you have any FSA funds left for the year, you can use them on your purchase.
đ 40-50% off Paprika (my favorite recipe/grocery app)
Iâve mentioned before how much I love this app, but it saves us so much time organizing recipes, planning meals and grocery shopping. You can save recipes from anywhere on the web, and it will sync and sort for easy shopping. Itâs one of my favorite apps, but you have to pay for each platform you use it on (Mac, iOS, Android). However, through the end of November, they are offering 40% off iOS and Android and 50% off Windows and Mac versions.Â
đ„© 2 Free Ribeyes for a Year! (+$10 off)
Amy and I have been loving âButcherBox and theyâve become a primary source in our house for high-quality meat. They deliver 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef; free-range organic chicken; humanely raised pork; and wild-caught seafood directly to your doorstep at the frequency you choose.
This week, you can get two 10 oz rib eyes FREE in every box for a whole year when you join, plus an additional $10 off when you sign up here.
đĄ Find your things easier with 20% off Apple AirTags
Apple AirTags are currently the lowest price I have ever seen. They have a four pack for $80 selling on Amazon. Walmart and Target had similar deals, but it appears that the demand has quickly squeezed the supply⊠and Amazonâs price is already up by $5 in the last last day or two. I sadly bought a 4-pack (at full price) a few months ago before our trip to Hawaii to put in all our checked bags and it was so comforting to see that our bags made it on the plane before we even took off.
đïž $40 free from Rakuten
Rakuten is one of my favorites for getting cash back (or Amex Membership Rewards points if you want) and right now you can get $40 free when you sign up and make a purchase. My referral link is here and the deal ends December 1st. Make sure to install the Rakuten Chrome extension to easily activate cash back.
Also if you havenât used your $50 Amex Platinum Saks credit yet, Rakuten is offering 10% cash back at Saks.
đ $50 off Oura Ring
Iâve mentioned before how much I love my Oura Ring. I wear it every day to track sleep, workouts, heart rate, HRV, and blood oxygen levels. They currently have a Black Friday deal for $50 off their Gen3 ring.
đ§đ» 5yr AARP Membership for $15 (or make $15 w/ Rakuten)
Did you know you can join AARP at any age and get access to all their member deals? I always thought it was only for seniors, but I was wrong. I wonât do a deep dive on all their deals, but ThePointsGuy highlighted some top travel deals. And right now, you can get a 5 year membership for $45. But donât click that link!
Instead sign up for Rakuten (here) and then click their $20 cash back link for AARP (here) and youâll spend $45 on the membership, but get $40 from Rakuten for signing up and $20 back from the AARP purchase, which results in earning $60 and spending $45, so youâll actually come out $15 ahead. If you already got the $40 bonus from Rakuten, I see a $30 statement credit offer from CapitalOne (here) which would bring the net total down to $15.
đ« 20-30% Transfer Bonuses to Airlines
If youâre looking to plan a last minute trip, right now there are a handful of transfer bonuses that might save you some miles. Weâre looking at round-trip to London for 4 in December and I think Iâm actually going to take advantage of the BA and Air France bonuses for the trip.
20% bonus from Capital One to Accor Live Limitless
20% bonus from Capital One to British Airways AviosÂ
30% Chase bonus from Chase to Aeroplan
25% bonus from AMEX to Air France/KLM Flying Blue
đŻïž Laugh at a gift from Whiskey River SoapÂ
Last yearâs holiday hacks email included a fun gift idea from Whiskey River Soap and ever since their candles have become a go-to gift for people (theyâre hilarious). They donât often go on sale, but they have a âPre-black Fridayâ sale right now for âbuy 2 get 1 half offâ and hopefully theyâll have a better sale in the week ahead.
𧳠$50-100 off Away Suitcases
Amy and I love our Away âThe Carry Onâ suitcases and I just got an email that you can get $50 off any 2 suitcases and $100 off any 3 (link) when you purchase by 11/28. Itâs not a crazy deal, but if youâve been eyeing one, itâs always nice to save a little. That said, when we needed to buy a bigger suitcase that we werenât going to use that often, we opted to save $$ and get this Samsonite for less than half the cost.
đł 2x Points with Bilt + 100% Bonus on IHG Transfers
The Bilt Rewards card is offering double points on all purchases from 11/25 to 12/1. Unfortunately, this deal excludes rent, but does provide:
6x on dining
4x on travelÂ
2x on other
But thatâs not all. Bilt points will also get a 100% transfer bonus for IHG, which could be an amazing perk for any last-minute hotel bookings.
đ Parting Thoughts
